Graduate Nurse Residency Program
Continue to develop professionally under the guidance of a mentor. If you’re a recent graduate of an accredited nursing school and want to be part of a progressive Healthcare System that has the latest in technology and an atmosphere of continual improvement and commitment to quality care then take advantage of our program. This residency has two phases of progressive independence:
- Training experience includes classroom learning and clinical orientation with a preceptor on a dedicated unit. Residents enjoy a safe learning environment where they practice skills on a Human Patient Simulator.
- Full clinical assignment with an assigned resource nurse who serves as a mentor.
Time spent in our residency program typically averages four to six weeks, meeting the individual needs of each new grad. As you transition into your RN experience, you’ll be able to demonstrate clinical competence in:
Documentation
Nursing process
Interpersonal communication
Professional accountability
Clinical decision making
Medications
